How to use Agent 55
Start a new search
1) Select category group by clicking one of the radio buttons (eg. Info
& Media)
2) Select category by clicking one of the Tabs (eg. The Web)
3) Enter Search Term (eg. sweden)
4)
Select show method (
or
)
5) Click Find!
While searching...
When search has been initiated a windows open with a progressbar
showing the searchprogress. If you want to see the search
result
as
fast as possible you simply click the button at the lower end of the
windows saying "Show search results now>>". If you click
the
button
in the right upper corner the WHOLE search will abort and you will not
see the search results.
To remove a single search just
click the name of the search-engine you want
to
abort.
After search completed
"Show first result" searchmethod
If you selected
as
searchmethod you will see the first of the searchengine-result (the most
popular one)
and on the searchbar you will see informaion about the search, which
searchresults is showing and how many there are.
When you want to see the searchresult of an other searchengine, just
click "Next" "Prev", or directly at a number in the list.
"show stacked" searchmethod
If
you selected as
searchmethod you will see the first searchresult and below that
one the second and the third etc. in individual windows stacked
under each other.
Use the BLUE Global scrollbar to scroll down
and look through all your searchresults |

When you have looked through the searchresults you can easily go
back to the top by clicking
When you found good results
When you find something you want to click at in the searchresult,
we recommend that you ALWAYS open the link in a new Window
(Hold SHIFT when clicking the link). It is easy to get back to the
searchresults
by simply closing the window with the searchresult.
If you do not open the link in a
new Window, there is always a possibility that the link you clicked
on
will try
to maximize
itself and unload Agent55. If this occurs,
Agent 55 will warn you
with an encouragement to click Cancel.
Give your rating
To improve the search-capabilities we need to know what search-engines
that you users appreciate and which one you do not like. It is very
easy to give your rating to us, just click on one of the round smilie-icons(
,
or
)
beside the current search-engine name and your rating will be sent
to us.
When we have received enought ratings for a particular engine, it
will affect
the sort-order of the search-engines when the results are presented.

Minimize, Maximize, Minimize all, Stack all results, Close result
When looking through the searchresults, there a five different buttons
(to the most right) on each searchresult window, and they affect
the appearence of the searchresult windows.
The two first buttons affect ONLY the currently selected window and
will have different appearance depending on what show method the
searchresult window is
shown with.
The first button (
and
)
will minimize and restore the current searchresult
window.
The second button (
and
)
will maximize and restore the current searchresult window.
The next two buttons affect ALL windows.
The
button
will minimize all windows and show them stacked under each
other.
The
button
will set all windows to a specific height and stack each
searchresult window under each other
The
button
will close the current searchresult window.
